One gal's journey from fat to fit

Happy 4th of July!

Pictured is the flag that flies outside of my parents home. It used to be a flag that was given to me that flew over the Presidio while I was stationed there, but sadly it was lost in a garage fire at their house.

As a Veteran, I can’t think about Independence Day without acknowledging that freedom isn’t free.

The fact that individuals were willing to commit treason and risk their lives, all so we could be a free country, means that we have been given one of the greatest gifts by individuals who knew nothing other than they needed to change the future for their loved ones.

The bigger question is what have we done to change the world for the better for our children and our children’s children?

So while you’re out there celebrating the independence of our great nation, take a minute and think about how you can be a revolutionary in our world and change it for the better.
